EXFP7 Circle Series — Cylindrical Aerosol Fire Extinguisher for Round Electrical Enclosures
The EXFP7 Circle Series is a cylindrical aerosol fire extinguishing device designed for use in round enclosures, circular junction boxes, and cylindrical equipment housings. It uses a solid aerosol chemical that contains strontium nitrate (60%) and potassium nitrate (20%) as active chemical oxidizers. Once heated to a temperature of about 170±10℃, this device generates an aerosol, which fills the protected area and penetrates into cable entries, terminals, and voids of all components, thus extinguishing the fire in a safe manner.
Having five chemical weight options ranging from 8 g to 100 g, the Circle Series is used in circular enclosures, which range in diameters from small junction boxes with their diameter of 40 mm to equipment houses, which may have significant diameter of up to 105 mm and protect volumes from 0.08 m³ to 1.0 m³. Its cylindrical design is also very convenient for installing it into circular enclosures, with the only requirement being to just place this device at the center or along the inner circle while routing the thermal sensing cable inside.

What makes the EXFP7 Circle Series different from other aerosol extinguishers?
The EXFP7 Circle Series is specifically built for round electrical boxes, circular junction boxes, and tubular equipment that cannot house square-profile extinguishers. With diameters from 40mm to 105mm, the Circle Series makes best use of internal space in cylindrical enclosures while using the solid aerosol fire suppression technology like pressure vessels are not needed. The circle design can be either mounted on a wall or from the center.
How do I choose the correct Circle Series model for my round enclosure?
Selection is based on the internal volume of your round enclosure — calculated as π × radius² × height. Circles Series EXFP7 features a fire extinguishing density of 100g/m³. For small junction boxes 40mm wide (0.08m³), choose the 8g variant (EXFP7 D0.008G/S-QR). For 0.15m³ space, select 15g model. For typical round enclosures with volume of 0.3m³, either one of two 30g models is suitable. For big round cases up to 1.0m³, choose 100g variant (EXFP7 D0.1G/S-QR). In case the volume of your enclosure does not match any standard sizes, we recommend selecting the next bigger size.
What fire classes does the EXFP7 Circle Series cover?
The Circle Series EXFP7 is certified to extinguish Class A (ordinary combustible materials such as paper, wood, textiles, and cable insulation), Class B (liquid combustibles including fuels, oils, and solvents), Class C (gaseous combustibles such as propane, methane, and natural gas), and Class E (fire caused by live electrical equipment). With such coverage, the Circle Series is deemed very versatile since its application is in circular electrical junction boxes, cylindrical equipment housing, lighting poles enclosure, telecommunication shelters, and any circular enclosure with solid, liquid, or electrical fire hazards.
What is the service life and maintenance requirement for the Circle Series?
The EXFP7 Circle Series lasts 10 years in normal work conditions at the correct temperature (-50℃ to +90℃) and humidity (≤95% RH). This device doesn’t require any maintenance for all these years. For best maintenance however we do advise checking the thermal sensing line and the integrity of the cylindrical housing visually every 2-3 years to make sure no damages like contamination or corrosion have happened. After 10 years the device must be replaced so that fire protection characteristics can be guaranteed.
Can the Circle Series be installed in non-round enclosures?
The Circle Series is best for round enclosures but also functions in round shapes. It can be installed in tight corners or along walls. The desirable position for best fire protection is in the middle of the protected volume to ensure uniform aerosol release. Devices can be surface mounted as standard, with optional brackets available for particular shapes. For special applications, our technical team is ready to help with the installation.
