Voltage operating values are shown on L1-L2-L3 and on current during the start of delay counting on L2 Value display; After the delay is over, the output relays close and they will open normally.
Phase Sequence Error Indication

When a phase fault occurs, L1-L3-L2 is displayed, and the protectoris disconnected from the output power supply.

Product Status Description
- If a voltage fault is detected during the reset/start-up delay period, the output relay will energize and the fault indicator will light up.
- During normal operation, the screen displays the operating voltage and current values; if a voltage or current fault is detected, the output relay energizes and the fault indicator lights up.
- Voltage Fault: After a voltage fault occurs, if the input voltage is detected to have returned to within the hysteresis (Hys) range, the relay will automatically reset once the reset/start-up delay period concludes; the fault indicator will turn off, and the screen will display the operating voltage and current values.
- Current Fault: When the relay trips due to a current fault, it will automatically reset; during the reset/start-up delay period, the fault indicator turns off, and the screen displays the operating voltage and current values.

Questions Fréquemment Posées
What is a three-phase voltage protector and what does it protect against?
A three-phase voltage protector monitors the three phases of a supply as a group and disconnects the load when the supply is unhealthy. The EXUR7-3 protects against overvoltage, undervoltage and overcurrent on any phase, incorrect phase sequence, and voltage unbalance between phases — the five fault classes that cause motor burnout, machine damage and control failure in three-phase installations.
Why is phase sequence protection important?
If two phases are swapped at commissioning or after maintenance, a three-phase motor reverses direction — dangerous for pumps, compressors and conveyors, and capable of destroying them. Phase-sequence protection verifies the order of L1-L2-L3 before closing the output and disconnects the load if the sequence is wrong, displaying the fault for the electrician.
What is three-phase voltage unbalance and when should I set it?
Unbalance is the difference between the highest and lowest phase voltages. Motor standards commonly warn that unbalance above 2-3% raises winding temperature significantly; the protector compares phase voltages and trips when the difference exceeds the user setting (20-100V). On a nominal 380V system a 50V default is permissive; set lower for sensitive motors.
Does the EXUR7-3 work on a 220V three-phase system?
Yes. Select the three-phase four-wire mode where phase voltage is 220V L-N (e.g. 380/220V four-wire networks), and the threshold tables automatically present the 220V-range settings (overvoltage 120-300V, undervoltage 80-210V). In three-wire 380V systems the device reads line-to-line and applies the 380V tables.
How does the EXUR7-3 reset after a fault?
After the fault clears and the line returns to the healthy window for the configured recovery delay, the output relay closes again automatically. If the continuous overcurrent count reaches its user limit (0-20), the device locks out and requires a manual reset — a deliberate behaviour that flags repeated overloads rather than endlessly re-closing onto a faulty load.
