Dual Activation — Thermal Line & Electrical Trigger
The Red Strip Series can work using two activation modes – the thermal activation at 170±10℃ which does not require any external supply and the electrical activation (DC 5V ~ 24V) from the fire alarm panel or the BMS system.

EXFP7 Red Strip Series — Dual-Activation Aerosol Fire Extinguisher for Large Electrical Enclosures
The EXFP7 Red Strip Series is an aerosol fire extinguishing device meant for electrical enclosures needing both automatic and remote systems of fire detection. The device is based on a non-harmful aerosol-forming compound with strontium nitrate (60%) and potassium nitrite (20%) — two active oxidizers that create an aerosol fire-fighting agent upon activation, either automatically at 170±10℃ or via signals from 5V-24V DC sources such as alarm panels, information systems or manual activation devices. Thus, the Red Strip Series can do either completely autonomously in unattended areas or fit into general fire suppression systems.
The four variants of the device (weighting between 50g and 300g) can protect volumes of 0.5-3.0m³, allowing it to be applied in cases with higher needs for fire extinguishing equipment in comparison with conventional aerosol agents. The Red Strip 300g can handle the issues of larger battery energy storage systems, UPS cabinets, server racks, and more. The device is bright red and has a visible strip — making it easy to track its whereabouts before any planned inspection leading to reduced time for maintenance and increased level of safety compliance.

What makes the EXFP7 Red Strip Series different from other aerosol extinguishers?
The EXFP7 Red Strip Series includes a dual activation design. It allows triggering the extinguisher using either of the two methods, namely, using a thermal sensing line of 170±10℃ (fully automatic and without power) and triggering it with an electrical signal in the voltage range of DC 5V~24V from sources like fire alarm stations, BMS systems, and manual activation stations. How do I choose between thermal and electrical activation?
Select thermal-only activation if you want fully autonomous fire safety in installations without control systems—this activation occurs at 170±10℃ without power input or external signals. Electrical activation can be chosen when the devices are used with existing fire safety installations and remote management systems. The device can also be triggered from a distance with the help of a DC 5V~24V signal. If you want more flexibility, the choice of dual-mode configuration will provide for the activation of the device either with the help of thermal activation or electrical triggering thus ensuring independence of both activation systems.

The 300-gram device has been invented for use in battery storage cabinets, which are at the highest risk of heat-related fires. What is the electrical input requirement for remote activation?
The Red Strip Series can accept an electrical trigger signal with voltage between 5V and 24V, compatible with most types of fire alarm control panels and building management systems. The input is not polarity-sensitive and draws very low current when in standby mode. Please specify the required input voltage type and connector type when ordering so the appropriate factory configuration can be supplied.
What is the service life and maintenance requirement?
According to the Red Strip Series model EXFP7, under normal operating conditions, the device is guaranteed a 10-year service life. No maintenance is required during this time — no inspections of tanks, refilling of chemicals or cleaning of the filters. We recommend that the thermal sensing line, electrical connection and casing be visually inspected periodically for possible damage and failures. After expiration of the 10-year warranty period, the device will have to be replaced. The warranty covers manufacturing defects as well as activation failures.
How does the Red Strip Series integrate with battery management systems?
The Red Strip Series is designed to easily connect with any battery management system with a DC 5V~24V electrical trigger input. This means that when the battery management system detects thermal runaway scenarios like temperature surging, voltage fluctuations or gas detection, it can send a signal to the aerosol extinguisher ahead of time before thermal line reaches 170±10℃.
